EMPLOYMENT LAW

Every boss was a worker once...

Unknown

The onset of a Constitutional system has resulted in an increased obligation on Employers to recognise Employee rights. At the same time, effective delivery requires Employees to fulfil their responsibilities appropriately.

The two parties in the labour relationship, unfortunately, sometimes come into conflict as a result. Training, negotiations, advice and contracts management are areas of speciality for this department. We also act for both sides in the following forums:

  • Internal Disciplinary Enquiries, prosecuting; defending or chairing;
  • CCMA
  • Bargaining Councils
  • Labour Court
  • Labour Appeal Court
  • Labour Appeal Court hearings
